The river was encroaching rapidly on the house. Using various pieces of heavy equipment, we built two berms: one for catching the large chunks of rock being used as rip-rap, and one to both protect the house and allow the excavator a platform from which it could properly position the rip-rap for the most effective water barrier. Muggli’s also located and trucked-in the giant chunks of rip-rap.
